Car not starting or turning over indicates towards multiple possibilities. It can be issue with battery or weak battery. But if battery checks out ok, then it can be starter issue or faulty alternator or problem with low fuel pressure or no spark at spark plugs due to dirty spark plugs or faulty ignition coil or injectors getting cracked or dirty and needs to be cleaned.

backfiring is ignition when an inlet valve is open. from what you have done I suggest checking the firing order as there may be a crossed HT lead or a coil pack on the wrong plug.

Got fuel and spark but it wont start

If it is the 4 cyl engine, have you checked to see if the timing belt is ok and the engine has compression ?
If it has compression, and the plugs are wet, they could be fuel fouled.
I would try a new set of plugs, check the fuel pressure to make sure it is within spec, and check all plugs for spark.

Oil leak from rocca cover or cam seal

I don't understand what a rocca cover is, but your two most common oil leak locations are the front cam seal behind the timing belt pulley and the rear cam journal plug in the valve cover.
For a leak at the front, next time you replace your timing belt, unbolt the pulley, extract the old seal with a sharp hook, and press in a new seal. Be sure that the new seal is pressed in straight, and grease the lips before you press it in. Often, the front crankshaft seal fails about the same time, so replace that one as well while you have the timing belt off.
For a leak at the rear, reach back there behind the valve cover with solvent on a rag and clean it up nice and dry, then coat the edges of the rubber plug liberally with silicone seal. Allow to dry. Replace the rubber plug next time you have the valve cover off, but use some silicone seal to secure the new one so it stays in place and won't start leaking.
These cars are prone to valve cover gasket leaks, so expect to replace the valve cover gasket every few years. This is a particular problem if you use synthetic oil.
Any time you have problems with oil leaks, suspect that the crankcase is pressurizing due to a plugged ventilation system. Check the flame arrestor to make sure it is clean and clear. The flame arrestor is between the legs of the intake manifold, generally in a hard-to-get-at location. Also, blow down the hose below the flame arrestor to make sure that the oil mist separator box on the side of the engine block has not plugged up with sludge.

I have a 2004 Stratus that has an intermittent issue while accelerating. The check engine light comes on and the car starts to stutter. If I turn off the engine and turn it back on the engine light...

With what you changed and the fact that it is a 2004, have you had a tune up in awhile? Little things like a clogged fuel filter or plugged air filter cause this too. Make sure you have no vaccum leaks on your hoses. Visually check the coil wires and make sure they are not damaged. I have seen many problems with fuel pressure to the engine on the 04, mostly hesitation from leaking injectors. That is everything I would check. If you have any more questions, feel free to contact myself or any of our associates. We are here to help you. Thanks for using FixYa. Best wishes.

timings off or timing belt broken slipped remove oil cap try and see if valves are moving.Try removing a couple plugs spray in some gas/starting fluid and replace plugs kinda quickly and attempt to start should fire. if it does exhaust valves are dumping fuel before compression stoke timing issue

Hello, and Welcome to FixYa. Please allow me to assist you.

Your mention of "on trying to start the engine turns over very fast" is indicative of a timing belt issue. Either the belt has broken, or the belt has jumped a few teeth. When the belt is out of "time", there is less compression, which results in the engine 'turning over' faster, and a no-start condition.

What you need to do: Replace the timing belt, and, while the belt is being replaced, check the water pump for any evidence of seepage; if so, replace the water pump at the same time.

The good news here is this: Your engine is NOT of the type that will 'bend' the valves when the belt breaks or jumps teeth.

Replacing the timing belt will fix you right up.

Thanks for choosing FixYa for assistance.

Only way to check the timing belt is to remove cover, When was last time belt was replaced, timing belt should be replaced every 50,000 miles, shound like that would be next thing to check

Engine shut off, not getting any fire.

usually if no plugs are firing it would be a crank sensor but in the cam area you have a timing belt that keeps the timing between the crank and the cam if that has broken or stripped then it will not start and may have done some extensive damage to the engine.

2002 Hyundai Accent Problem

first thing i need to know is did the timing belt break?
second is are you sure you aligned the timing marks and after the belt tensioner was tight you rechecked to make sure the timing stayed where you had it.
next step would be a compression check to if a valve was bent whenchanging the belt
i have seen this happen and this engine is an interferance engine.

Won't start

Is this a 4 cyl. or a 6 ?
It's possable the EGR valve is stuck wide open also causing it to dump fuel. Are the plugs wet after cranking for a while?
Talk to ya soon, Dan
