You can fit a manual boost tap that fits into the hose from the wastgate solinoid to the wastgate which tricks the wastgate into opening a little later raising the boost pressure, tho i recommend a electronic boost controller as it holds boost better in the higher revs. Be mindful only raise the boost by 2-3 pounds as the more boost you run the hotter the air gets and the more likley it is to start to detonate.

My saab 95 1.9 tid revs fine in neutral when put in drive and pull of there's no power won't go above 3000 ram any ideas

HI Derek.

There are a few possibilities that come to mind.
3K RPM is generally about the break-even point for when Turbo boost would kick in. There is a dump valve on the turbo system that opens up and vents the extra turbo pressure under high-rpm situations where the boost isn't needed - say high but steady speed on a freeway. If the dump valve system is malfunctioning, then that anticipated turbo run-up in power won't happen.

Revving fine when in neutral may not tell you much, other than that the engine can rev. The gating system will (or should) run differently under load - whether climbing a hill or accelerating, this is where you want the turbo boost to give you the extra power. THat's where the exhaust gate should stay shut, or mostly shut, to allow the turbo to force more air into the pistons.

You might want to check whether the APC (Automatic Performance Control) for the turbo has a separate fuse. (The name might be different on your model, I'm remembering from my 80s/90s era Saabs). If the fuse is blown, that could also lead to lame performance, especially as I'd imagine that the system would be built to fail or go to full open if the APC fails or loses power - that'd keep people from having run-away power that they can't manage.

Hoping this helps

What is a boost calibration fault in a 2001 saab 9-5?

CK THE TURBO VALVE FOR LEAK using some carberator cleaner.
If the engine speeds up or starts to stall then that possibly could be your problem...Also check for vacume leaks using the same method ,and spray around vacume hoses ,and intake area...Or you could try some of these cites that will help in the diagnosis...My personal favorite is http://www.alldata.com...and here is another...http://www.obd-codes.com/ Hope this will help...:-)

TURBO NOT BOOSTING

Hello, I am a Saab technician from upstate new york. It sounds to me that the turbo wastegate rod may be seized to the turbo control valve. The easiest way to try to fix this is to spray penetrating oil on the turbo valve/ wastegate rod and work it back and forth with a pry bar. Many times u can also heat this up with a torch and pray. If those two things don't work than the turbo valve itself is seized into the guide hole machined into the turbo. good luck.

Saab 9000 automatic cse boost valve

HI need to no if your car has a turbo gauge if not then the cr is a LPT light presure turbo expain why u have not got a lot of power
if you have got a turbo guage then u can do more too to car to improve it
the valve your looking for is a APC valve that controls the turbo boost
i would recommend a ECU upgrade to avoid engine problems that will cost you more in the long run

Your problem with the APC system. Any perceived fault and you only get base boost. The most likely fault is the boost pressure sensor located under the dash on the left-hand side. when it is bad you often hear the APC solenoid valve clicking at idle.
