a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.

the service is completely free and covers almost anything you can think of (from cars to computers, handyman, and even drones).
click here to download the app (for users in the US for now) and get all the help you need.
goodluck!

SOURCE: engine light 2006 pontiac g6(reset)

first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. SOURCE: I can't compress the piston when putting new rear brake pads on a 2006 pontiac G6. It actually bent my C-Clamp. Is there something I am missing to release them?

The rear calaper pistons don't press in. You need to take a large pair of chanel lock pliers and twist them (screw them in).The pistions have indentions in them that the dows on the pads have to line up with or the pads won't seat flush against the calaper.

SOURCE: 2006 Pontiac G6 GTP window auto close/open

OMG. I replaced the battery in my 06 G6 and had the same problem. the windows would not roll up or down how they did before. I read the answers on here and it does work. Hold up the window switch for ten seconds and it resets. You will have to do it to each window. Worked great. Thanks

How do you check codes on a g6 to look for errors

Does the engine crank over?
Trouble codes are retrieved with an OBD-II code reader or scanning device. It is possible that just changing the battery, and now no start, that no codes will have been set, but good to check anyway.

My 2006 Pontiac G6 won't start by remote. However, it will manually but a check engine light came on. What could be wrong with my car? Is it an expensive repair?

If you have a check engine light, the system is designed to prevent remote start or shut it down shortly after. Get the code checked and proceed from there.

internal electrical fualt of the c/d changer, you'll need to send the changer into be repaired. your local GM dealership can help you with that. sometimes stereo shops can do the work a little cheaper.
