first be sure that its the engine light and not the "service" light. the service light will usually illuminate if its time for an oil change. if its the service light ur owners manual should tell u how to reset it. if its ur engine light then try disconnecting ur positive battery cable for 1 minute. that should reset ur ecm and get rid of the engine light. if the engine light comes back on then have a diagnostic scan done to determine whats causing it. The rear calaper pistons don't press in. You need to take a large pair of chanel lock pliers and twist them (screw them in).The pistions have indentions in them that the dows on the pads have to line up with or the pads won't seat flush against the calaper.

OMG. I replaced the battery in my 06 G6 and had the same problem. the windows would not roll up or down how they did before. I read the answers on here and it does work. Hold up the window switch for ten seconds and it resets. You will have to do it to each window. Worked great. Thanks
