Head lights dim and lose power steering when at low speed light stop sign or parking

The most common cause of these problems is a loose slipping fan belt. For most cars the belt is held tight by a tension-er. This is a pulley that is spring loaded. Usually the tension-er applies the force to the back side of the belt. Tension-er has been known to stick and not flex with the belt allowing the belt to slip. Also if the belt is worn it can slip. Another possibility is that one of the accessories, on the belt circuit are having trouble rotating prohibiting the belt to operate freely. Careful inspection of the belt will determine its condition. With the hood open listen to the motor at idle and the sound of a squeaking belt is an indication that the belt is slipping. To test for the tension-er with the engine off try tapping in the direction of tightening the belt on the tension-er with a rubber mallet. Start the engine and observe if the condition is still the same. If it has corrected the problem than the tension-er either needs to be cleaned or replaced.

How to remove the glove box from a 2006 porsche cayenne

Replacing the fan doesn't take many tools, just skill. The fan is under the passenger side dashboard. Remove the cover that is held in with a T25 screw. After removing the screw pry the cover down. Disconnect the light from the cover. Remove the foot vent under the dashboard by pulling it down. Using a 5.5mm socket remove the screws holding in the blower fan. Removing the fan can be very difficult because the main wire harness goes under one edge of the fan. When you get the fan out check it for water damage. When installing the new fan make sure it slides into the channel in the hva/c box. Working around the wire harness can be frustrating. After reassembling check that the fan works. There are 4 places water can leak into the fan. The hva/c water drain can be plugged. The wiper cowl cover at the base of the windshield can be unclipped from the windshield. And one of the two wiper cowl water drains can be plugged.

How to replace the ac blower fan on a 2006 cayenne?

normally the armature of the fan is supported by phosphor bronze bushes that are self lubricating. However if there has been water present then the bushes dry out and make a noise or seize up . If you are mechanically minded and you can get to the motor ,pull it apart and lubricate the bushes with sewing machine oil . If not replace it with one from the wreckers .

My transmission is clunking and grinding when I shift from park to reverse to drive

Does engage and drive normally? Because they only grind when you don't stop completely, gear grind. It is different to normal trans clutch plates engaging while you're riding on the brakes while shifting, they do make the 'clunk' - engaged - and then as you release the brake it grinds 'er er er er'.
So unless your trans doesn't drive normally, I'd say it's normal.

95 honda accord 2.2 vtec, oil is leaking out of the hole for the dipstick tube connecting to the engine, the o-ring is not keeping the seal, what can I do? When it was pulled out at first it looked like...

an oring, may work in the right place on the tube. at my shop, we either replace the grommet if it is accessable, or pull out the dipstick tube, put some rtv on it, and let it seal that way. it sometimes works with rtv, but not always, and you hva to be careful not to get it in the engine.
