SOURCE: chevy steering wheel controls

You first have to disarm and remove the air bag (unscrews with bolts from behind the steering wheel) and then you will see the screws for the switches. Only the silverado awitches will work.

SOURCE: how to replace rear wheel bearing on 2003 chevy

its not hard but you do have to remove diff cover and then take out spider shaft to remove clips that hold axle. then remove bearing with slide hammer or puller. if bearings are bad so is the axle because its part of the bearing

Hi...your problem might be coming from your front wheel bearing hubs. They are know to cause this problem as they wear out and eventually have to be replaced.

I have a 1981 f250 4x4, and the front hubs I have noticed are a little loose. Can you tell me what I need to do about this? thank you.

you either have a wheel bearing in it or a hub and sealed bearing unit. i just changed two hub and bearing units in my son's 2006 Chevy Silverado.i like the old style, just had to change a wheel bearing.
good luck,
frank

Just changed the pads on my 2003 Chevy Silverado. Now back wheel is getting very hot. why?

Make sure you check that its not rubbing. The silverado's have a sort of strange brake setup where the brakes just ride on the rotor. If the channel isn't clean that the pads ride on then they will push on the rotor hard. Unfortunately that is the only reason your wheel could get hot. Even if the bearings in your rear were going bad your axle would get hot but not your wheel. Thanks.

Can bearings be chaaged on front wheel hub of chevy 2000 suburban 2 wheel drive

Good news: they can be changed. Bad news: you have to change the entire hub, they are sealed bearings. The hub should cost $230 to $250. I just put one on my 2500hd and it cost $235.

Raise the truck. Remove the wheel, brake caliper, caliper mounting and the dust cover in the center of the hub. Remove the ABS wiring, remove the large nut from the center of the hub. On the back side of the hub are 3 bolts, remove those and the hub should come off. Good Luck
