SOURCE: heat wont work 2001 lincoln town car cartia

Hello Callahan5922....this sounds like a stuck blower motor resistor. I assume the blower won't function in the a/c mode either? If you have a digital multimeter you can check this. I believe it's fuse #2....if the digital indicator goes up or down when you increase or decrease the fan speed thats good. Locate the blower motor resistor....you wil find it located on the fire wall behind the right valve cover hiding behind the heater hose, it's about the size of a cigarette pack. With the engine off, and key in on position, turn the A/C on High, and rap a tap tap tap on the resistor. You might be suprised when the blower motor takes off a runnin,
I hope this is the answer you need and i was able to help solve this for you. Good luck...

SOURCE: My cruise control doesn't work??...any

jnjkingbird, It sounds like this problem is the clock spring as I don't believe that the horn and the cruise control would share a fuse. However, they do share a circuit in the clock-spring. You can check for power at each unit (horn and the cruise control) which would confirm this. Check each fuse as well. Good luck with this.

Could be a defective speed sensor or open fuse. If your Town Car has steering wheel cruise controls, the defect could be in those controls.

Cruise control in my 2006 Lincoln Town Car does not work. Brake lights work since we put in a new switch.

Since you just changed the brake switch at the base of the brake, I would look first at the plug connection and then at the setting for the plunger that gets depressed when the brake is applied. It seems to me that if the brake is even touching the plunger that it may activate a false braking condition which deactivates the cruise control.
Hope this helps.

check the adjustment under the clutch and brake pedals If the rubber stops are a bit dodgy then the pedal will not activate/deactivate the controls for the cruise.
