you will not always hear the pump especially if the tank is full, try to spray a litlle bit of starting fluid into the throttle body and see if it starts then you know its a fuel issue, if the work jack up one side of the car and have one person hit the bottom center of the gas tank a few times with a good size rubber mallet while another person turns the key to start at the same time, this only take a few minutes and if the vehicle starts the you need a fuel pump

MAZDA 626 ENGINE RANDOM PAUSING/STALLING

The cooling system?? That would be my last guess, right after the spare tire. Sounds like an electrical issue. Quite often remote starters, especially those not installed at the factory, can cause these problems. Is there a "check engine" code?

I have a noise or nock in front of the engine that gets quite at approximatly 3000 rpms

Could be timing chain hitting the cover. You might consider removing the drive belts and running the engine for 30 seconds to see if the noise goes away. After starting the engine once with the drive belts off, I would then listen to the timing cover using a stethascope or long screw driver against your ear. Be careful around the crankshaft pulley during these tests...I hope this helps.

My car keeps cutting off during driving

Sounds like a problem with the ignition module. If the car runs fine for a bit then quits,,,, and if you wait a few minutes it restarts,,,, replace the module.

2004 ford f350diesle hard starting depress throtle nothing there

Dear dsmalley427,
I think it sounds like a fuel injection problem. You get fuel for a while until the injector backs up and then all of a sudden NO FUEL. The engine quits and the pressure drops and flow returns enough for you to restart. If I were you I would get to a good mechanic and check the fuel injectors.
OR--try adding a fuel additive that would clean the injectors.--Signed jwr

1991 Mazda 626 DX dies suddenly after running for 10 minutes.

Hello, It sounds like an engine ignition control module gone out or a coil. They get hot and quit working after a short period of time, cool off then work again till they get hot.
Is the ignition system pointless electronic or does it have points? Are you getting any fire at all now to the cylinders? Does the tach in the vehicle show any RPM's during cranking? Do you have voltage at the positive side of the ignition coil? Does the coil meet the ohm ratings for that years vehicle ignition? Does the vehicle have oil in it so the oil pressure sensor allows the engine to run, this may not be an option on your particular vehicle? You can check most of this out with a volt/ohm meter. Check your voltages before starting the vehicle, during running and after it quits to see where the loss is. Just don't get near the center tap of the coil or you will get a rude awakening and/or serious injury. Good luck, RAC

im working on one now. customers car was running and it just shut off on freeway. I diagnost it , it crank over and power was there , had a spark to plug. i took off the 8mm bolt and looked at the engine cams inside and no movement was there during cranking. taking out is a lil tricky.. im a lil hesitated on putting the new belt on .. cause i have no specs yet.
