SOURCE: 1996 dodge grand caravan

On a 1996, you will have to take it to a dealership. They will have to plug it into their DRB (handheld computer thingy) to turn it off.

SOURCE: NEEED FUSE FUSE BOX LAYOUT FOR 2003 DODGE GRAND CARAVAN

I'm not sure about the fuse box layout on that model, but I do have a tip for finding fuse related problems. Get a cheap test light and connect the alligator clip to the negative battery terminal. Roll the key to the RUN position ( do not start). Look carefully at the fuses while they are plugged in. You should see a little silver tab on both sides of the top of each fuse. Touch one with the probe of your test light. It should light up. Now touch the other side. If it doesn't light up on both, the fuse is blown. If it doesn't light up on either side, then there is no power getting to the fuse and you'll have to do more digging, but it may be normal. Some circuits are only energized under specific conditions.

SOURCE: Need battery size for 1996 Dodge Caravan

your cars battery might only need charging or battery acid replacement, but if you'd realy wish to buy new one, buy one with the same size and voltage and amps as the one you have right now, or you could buy a battery with the same voltage with a higher amppere-hour (Ah) rating!

Help! My 2009 Dogde Grand Caravan's key can unlock/lock the doors but won't start the ignition nor turn on lights, radio or lower windows. What do other owners or mechanics think it might be?

Your style of key is a Security style. Mine on my 05 Caravan retailed over $100. Thankfully the place I purchased it from took care of the cost. If you have another key that has been working try it. If it doesn't work I'm sure the Dealership will be able to help you. Look in your owners manual to see if there is a fuse that controls this.

2002 dodge grand caravan won't start

Hello, Just by my experience with my 91 dodge grand caravan, I would start checking 3 things. First, did you replace spark plug wires to the correct location(Plugs 1, 3 and 5 on the back, Plugs 2, 4 and 6 on the front,That's all starting from the Passenger's side.) 2nd, do your dash lights and electronics turn on when it turns over? If not, try jumping it and 3rd if engine finally runs after that and then shuts off, then your alternator will be next to check however if engine dosen't start running from trying to jump it then the problem is more than likely your alternator. Though make sure you have plugged in all plugins that you might of unplugged like the one that plugs into your DIS coil pack and all vacuum hoses are connecting. Hope this helps and good luck!

2003 lexus es300 won't start... radio lights and windows work. Tried a jump start, still doesnt work...

Are you saying the engine cranks but won't start, or the engine won't crank ?
If the engine does not crank, you would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch as well as the ground connections.

1997 dodge caravan all gages lights up, radio works but won't start

Does the van have an anti-theft system ?
If so you may need to reset it.
If not, a mechanic would check for voltage at the starter, the neutral safety switch, and the key switch.

My lights on my 1996 caravan won't shut off until the timer shuts them off and they turn on when any door is opened

You are talking about interior lights, right ?
As long as the on-time is under a minute or two, its normal.
The lights are supposed to go off as soon as you start the van tho.

I have a 2006 Dodge Caravan. The lights on the dash started flickering and the radio stoped working intermittantly. It won't start anymore and the power windows and locks don't work. We replaced...

did the battery check to be good? are the connections on the battery tight and clean? if so you may be getting a bad body control module , it controls power and ground to the systems you are having problems with.also check the ignition switch to see if you are getting power out of it to power the vehicle up.
