If the sensor is broken would it infact also cause a clanky/rattling noise? I'm having trouble with this as well. It does sound like it's coming from the Right side tire area?

yeah...my light has been on since I bought my car, but luckily have had no problems reguarding the brakes, however I am having a problem with my check engine light and it is randomly sputtering and losing power... I have replaced the fuel pump (again), spark plugs, distributor cap and wires... no one (not even the local dealer) has a clue because it only happens when it wants to...

One of your sensors is broken there is one for each wheel this is usualy the case, have your mechanic take a look.

clunking noise would usualy be a ball joint this also should be looked at by a mechanic, because if one lets go you will loose your ability to steer the vehicle.

Yes the sensor is replaceable if that is the problem, but it can be a wiring problem as well.

ABS light on & brake warning light on. ABS not working.

check the brake fluid level in the reservoir. if full, try poking the float back to the surface. sometimes it sticks sunk. the abs light will always illuminate when the red brake light is on if your vehicle is equip t with abs. it means the abs system is inactive.

1998 gdi grand chariot abs light is always on and has A tak tak sound when driving

needs to have system checked, could be as simple as debris, grease, dirt fouling an abs sensor.best bet is to take it to a dealer, another thing to consider is if you have a warning light on for something like abs or airbag etc, that system is out of order and will not work till fault is rectified.

Sound when car sitting / ABS and Brake lights

The ABS module when active makes noise when it is trying to control the vehicle by applying "leave" and "press" mechanism. If the lights are coming on , it is possible that the ABS needs to be fixed. Take it to the authorized service centre to electornically diagnose and reset the codes.

ABS brake light stays on all the time.

Any competent repair shop with a scanner should be able to pull codes from the ABS computer. It is likely a speed sensor or wire.

Abs light on always

Have you checked your brake fluid? It may be low or an indication that the brake pads are worn, causing the light to stay on.

1995 Geo Prizm ABS always light on.

I have the feeling that the cv was replaced with one that didn't have a tone ring (part of the ABS) on it, or the tech neglected to put the sensor back in the knuckle.
Definitely take it back. Good luck!
