Carb rebuilding is not for the inexperienced mechanic. It would take me a couple hours to type out the procedures for this.If you want to tackle it, your best bet is to pick up a manual at the auto parts store. These usually cover all makes and cost about $20. Be sure to read it before you start. It's extremely easy to make it worse than it currently is. Your car will have either Holley or Carter carburator. The name should be cast into the body Plan on 2 or 3 hours for the rebuild.Otherwise check around for a good shop that specializes in fuel systems to do it for you.You may also want to look at replacing it for about the same price. Hope this helps.

I have taken mine out. You have to get in the trunk and locate the 2 bars holding the rear seat to the backrest. You can see them easily, as they are us shaped. Take a flat head screwdriver, preferably a large one, and slightly bend the bars outward. Then once you get in the back seat give the top of the backseat a good yank out and up, it should come right out.

SOURCE: I need a manule for

I hate to provide you with bad news, but you will not be able to get the entire manual for free on a site like this......the main reason copyright......there are companies out there that produce manuals, like Haynes and Gregorys and they spend alot of time and energy and will not be happy if this site provided that info for free....second reason, the law, it is against the law to reproduce any original material more than 10%...if you ask for a specific problem, then we are more than happy to provide you with that informatioin with no hesitation for free.............

1987 subaru carburator problems

You need to hone the accelerator pump well and adjust the throw of the pump rod as much as possible to get more fuel. Of course that is just a guess based on 100's of rebuilds i have done over the years. I have also found that Japanese carbs seldom turn out when rebuilt.

Check your blower motor. It could have debris in it. Take it out and try to spin it by hand. That's probably where your problem is.
