Where is the fuel pump relay located on 2004 Mitsubishi Galant LS?

the problem is not the relay switch the problem to me sounds like the fuel filter needs to be replaced so i wouldnt be messing with the relay switch because the relay switch would be harder to replace.

Has it overheated lately?
My wife overheated our Galant and it just stopped working, it cranks but that's it.
I pulled the sparkplugs and found them wrapped in a gewey jelly like substance. Like an oil/antifreeze combo.
I am going to replace the entire motor for $1000 as taking it to the mechanics to theorize and practice may cost more.

there are two relay for the fuel pump, one from the key to the fuel pump the other is called MFI relay. you will only get power to the pump when you are cranking over the engine. the MFI take over when the engine is running.. both are on the driver side of the center console under the kick plate you have too look close to the radio you will see a brass plate with one 10mm nut holding them on....

You can always verify its the correct relay by turning the relay over and looking at the markings There are 2 that will be numbered 30 and 97 they are flat poles that face opposite of each other. if you jump those two poles with a jumper wire,,, the pump should be activated if the pump is in fact good.
