I have repaired dozens of these air suspension problems and without a doubt the #1 cause is leaking air bags, which you make no mention of replacing, as far as the changes to the ride height programs go they are preset and not adjustable, nor do i recommend you try and alter the system by fooling around with the ride height sensors, any changes u may attempt to make can and will adversely affect handling. My experience? 35 years as a Ford dealer factory trained and certified master technician in all phases of this system.

You can, but they won't adjust like your factory ones (automatically) Lots of folks replace w/aftermarket shocks instead of depending on factory units.

take a look at www.strutmasters.com for replacement suspension kits for that vehicle. it is going to be expensive to swap it in, but once you have that stuff taken out you won't have to fix it again and again and again.
