Fuse for dash board lights and tail lites keeps blowing

You may have a damaged wire leading to one of the lights that keeps blowing.
Not fun, but you have to chase down the wiring to everything that keeps blowing out.

Dash lights don't work 91 Toyota pickup

Check the dash lite fuse first, if that is ok remove the dash lite dimmer control switch and check to see that 12 volts is present at the switch with the headlights turned on, the dimmer is defective if you have 12 volts present.

200 ford escort brake light stays on when engine is off

Your brake light switch stuck. Look up under the dash on your brake pedal assembly. You will see the switch on the pedal where the pivot for the brake master cylinder is. You can disconnect the electrical connector. If the lights go out, then replace the switch. This is not hard, but a little tricky because you are standing on your head to accomplish this mission. Just pull the clip out of the pivot pin and slide everything sideways to remove the switch. Pay attention to where the plastic bushings go because they have to go back in to the correct place to make everything work properly.

Interior lights do not shut off when door is closed and engine is running or not running

if you have a pull out knob to turn on the lites then you need to turn it to right and inside lites will go out.
when you turn it the dash lites go high or low but if you turn it all the way to high side it will turn on inside lites.
if you have a rocker switch for lites then should be a thumb switch to dim dash lites and it works same way .

1985 190e Engine turns over, won't start

when the car ignition is turn on all accessory lights should lite up telling the computer everything is in good contact. If none of the dash lights is not lighting up you don't have a good ignition contact and computer is not getting any power. your stater will crank and turn the engine over only but the fuel pump and ignition module and other accessary is not turn on, the car will not start. What turn everything on is your computer, computer; control all items like fuel pump, sparks etc. You have to get all dash light working again in order for computer to turn on. Check all the fuses and relay under the hood, next your ignition switch in your steering wheel may be faulty allowing only starter to work and not others. this unit wear out and common problems to all cars, parts is 35 buck to replace and you going to have to take the steering columns apart to get to it. Not easy but it will take time. Get all the dash light working and you will be back in the game. good luck and hope that help some

If you have no dash lites< I would suggest checking either of the following as thse are the most common problems 1) chec your fuses 2) test the headlite switch, as for the brake lites I would again check the fuses and then move on to the brake lite switch and see if there is power going into the switch and coming out of the switch with the brake pedal depressed, if not it's the switch if there is power trace the wire back to the brake lites checking all connections in between for power. Finally test the lite pig tail ( socket ). Good luck and rember to rate all the solutions that you get on FixYa, thanx
