Question about 2001 Dodge Durango
Seems like it happens mostly when it sit for 6-8 hours. First time it happened I could not get it to start but the engine would turn over sounded like it wasnt getting any fuel. now it takes 2-3 tries before it starts. sometimes with if i turn the egnition over after a few revilutions it will crank any suggetions would be appreciated.
Sounds like fuel pressure is bleeding off. It is not uncommon for this to happen on chrysler vehicles with your style fuel pump module.
The first thing i would do is check fuel pressure with a fuel pressure gauge. The will be a test port on the fuel rail. You should see roughly 50 psi of pressure and it should hold pressure with the key off. If fuel pressure drops the regulator is bad and the fuel pump assembly in the fuel tank will need to be replaced. this will require dropping the fuel tank from the vehicle.

Testimonial: "I will try this seems to be the most logical suggestion since it cranks up only after I turn it over at least twice before it will start. I will get back to you once ive tries this solution first."
