Wheres the slave cylinder located at? wen i press my pedal it stays at the floor.what could that be?

Hello Herman, I assume that you are referring to the clutch slave cylinder. Did you check the fluid in the clutch master cylinder? Fill the master cylinder and try it a few times. If it works better but not good enough, you may need to bleed the clutch system. The slave cylinder should bleed at or near the front on the side of the transmission.

If a manual clutch , adjust the free play at the clutch fork around 1/8 inch. if hydraulic top up fluid or bleed out air.

My 97 kia sephia clutch has no pressure at all.it was fine the night befor and when i started it the cluch had no pressure.any ideas

Most likely your hydraulic hose has sprung a leak. Otherwise your problem would be with the clutch master cylinder cup or the clutch release cylinder cup. Check your clutch fluid level, if it is low there may be air in the system and it will need to be bleeded.

Transmission issues

Typical Clutch Problem. Check to see if Clutch Linkage is Hydraulic or Mechanical. If Hydraulic then replace Clutch Slave Cylinder First.Bleed out air from Hydraulic line. if this doesn't fix it and or it has a Mechanical Clutch Linkage then Replace Clutch itself don't forget to get a new throw ou bearing and pack it with heavy duty grease otherwise in 20,000 miles you'll be doing it again. Thanks Keith

I was parked on the side of the road in my ford ranger ute for about 3 to 4 minutes with the clutch pedal to the floor i was on the phone and then i could smell the clutch burning. I took my foot off the...

The clutch might be a hydraulic system. When it's leaking oil the pedal sticks to the floor and has to be pulled back manually. Because it's designed to be fail safe, it still works but only for some time till all the oil has leaked out.

The burning smell might be clutch oil dripping on the exhaust - meaning the seal on the clutch servo is leaking oil.

There are repairkits for clutch servo's - usually it's suggested to replace the cylinder seal on the clutch pedal also.

Do you refill resivor after you pump pedal each time to bleed a manual clutch

I would hope not: That would imply that you're pushing through the entire reservoir each pump. If you are, check for leaks. However, about every 5 pumps would be a good time to refill during a bleedoff.

Hello have no clutch action will only go in gear when not running no fluid loss was working fine peddle feels loose at top but doesn't feel like it is pushing anything could rear seal on motor have caused...

A rear main seal leak usually misses the clutch and certainly would not cause a release issue. Your issue sounds like something is wrong with the clutch master or slave. Perhaps you have run low on fluid and need to bleed air out.....perhaps some leaking has allowed fluid to escape. Investigate. If you did run low on fluid, you will need to pre bleed (bench bleed) the MC or you may never get pressure again. You can buy a kit that allows bleeding of MC n place, the bellder kit has hoses that hook up where the output line of the MC and allwos the other end to go into the MC reservoir. Pump until no bubbles, then do not let fluid go low, or start over again.

CLUTCH PEDAL HAS NO PRESSURE

Hello: Check the slave cylinder for leaks. If leaking, replace it then make sure the cylinder for the clutch is full then bleed it, after bleeding it should work. If not then the clutch cylinder may also be bad.
