Question about 2002 Kia Sedona
Its the output speed sensor ,or the wiring harness ,its heats up and sends bad readings, check the wiring 1st

Sounds like the transmission is downshifting to passing gear. Might the electronic control module for the transmission. Have someone pull the codes from the computer, I'll bet there is one in there for the transmission.
