I have one of these cars i love it but and the transmissions GM used in them are not good at all there is a pin in the differential that has a tendency to slip out and the car will not move..happened to me but i was driving..it blew the transmission so hard the gears shot right out of the bottom of the car..it cost me 1500 dollars to replace it..you might be luckier because it dident blow up like that i would call some transmission places and tell them whats going on and get an estimate..

My 1996 pontiac grand prix will not start. The engine will turn over but it wont fire

May have to get a code reader for this one..... Bad coil, open wire on crank shaft sensor, fuel pump, are among possible problems..... Try a bit of starting fluid, not much of too often mind you!

2001 grand prix gt freaking out!

Hello and yes this is a major noise. I would check your oil now right before you ever start the oil again. This noise may have been your engine locking up from really low oil levels and excessive heat from a lot of driving. If this is fine contact me again and we will address more problems if their is more. Thank You.

I think its you alternator, the battery and alternator kind of work back to back with each other. I will take the car to shop that you know and can trust and have them diagnose the car all together. Good Luck.
