You have a separate sensor for the fan. But check for blown fuse or bad relay first. Both should be identified in the owners manual

Where is the temperature sensor under the hood?...the temp guage in my car keeps going to hot even though the radior and thremostat was changed.

For 1997 Lincoln Continental 4.6L SFI DOHC 8cyl the Coolant Temperature Sensor is located: Under hood, passenger side, front upper engine area, mounted in intake manifold near water outlet.

Hope this helps (remember to rate and comment this).

Hi, I have a 1995 lincoln continental and it is really really low to the ground. It sounds like the it's rising when I start the car but the rear of the car never rises.

it has an air suspention, and they are known to leak after a couple of years. they are not cheap to replace. this happened in my town car and i just replaced the airbags with springs. sorry
