It was a fuse! The car has a huge, accessible fuse box under the hood. Not so lucky, the fuse wasn't there. In the manual there are directions to an additional fuse box under the passenger, rear seat. No luck finding and further study of the manual says the carper has to be removed. 10 minutes later, every knuckle skinned and plastic retainers and trim flying everywhere, the fuse box was indeed buried there. I used a piece of lumber as a wedge to hold the carpet away and located the 10 amp fuse. Replacement brought back the lights!!!!!!!!!!!!! However, I found water in the rear compartment where the jack is. Perhaps excess moisture has contributed. Last week it needed a turn signal bulb and I learned you have to remove the front bumper to get to it. A body shop did the job for $67.00. No matter what is wrong, the service tech at the dealership always says "that'll take 2 hours. I am having a really hard time liking this vehicle. It's little more than a pick up in a prom dress. I miss my old Town Car silent smoothness. I likened it to riding on a ripe tomato.

You saved me small fortune!!!! Thank you.

I have a 2004 Cadillac SRX V8 it wont start it will crank but no start i have change the spark plugs but i did not use OEM plugs used AC Delco irridium plugs. Why or what could be problem?

Quit throwing money at it and have the codes read. You could have bought a cheap code reader for what you paid for those plugs. Codes tell you a direction to look. I suggest you check fuses first. You have a panel under the hood and under the back seat. I usually just pull them one at a time and look I also wiggle the relays. This gets rid of corrosion problems. And people usually say thank you for fixing another problem. Caused by bad fuse or corrosion..

Which and where is the fuse to the interior lights to my 2004 nissan maxima

My best advise is to get a Chiltons/Haynes repair manual that covers your year/make/model. There is an entire section on this area of your car, together with a fuse/relay panel schematic and troubleshooting. Some interior light systems are like older exterior lights, in that, if one burns out, the rest won't work. Also, when you say your checked your fuses, did you test them or just do a visual check. With the old cylinder glass fuses it was easy to see if they were blown, but newer ones, not so much. And, as with any electrical system, if someone tries, or has tried, to add stereo equipment, light effects, etc, it can mess up the whole thing if a professional isn't the one doing the work.

2004 srx rear running lights went out. Lights come on when brakes are applied and when turn signal is applied

Sounds like you have a blown fuse. Check owners manual for location of fuses, should be under steering wheel.

How do I replace the fuse for the front turn signal 2004 cadillac srx

It is not something as easy as it sounds. We have had this happen twice in the past year. We live in Texas and everytime we have to get a new inspection sticker we have to pay someone to fix it so that it passes the inspection. It only lasts for a short time and then goes right back out. This car is a piece of ****. The system stability system warning is coming on.. have read lots of complaints. cadillac needs to recall this before someone gets killed.

I bought a Cadillac SRX 2006, all the internal lamps are not lighting, please advise how to fix them. Thanks.

You need a Body Control Module for your Cadillac. That item controls the interiors lights amounst other items too. This will be a dealer item unless you perfer a used one from a wrecking yard

No tail lights and no interior lights, brake and hazard work

check for the complete fuse box and search for short circuits. Check the fuses and the amps of each. Did you change the battery for a new one? Did you install any device not OEM? An alarm? Check the cable system. If this is ok, scan it.

Interior lights stay on and all power windows inop

I had the same problem.....there is a rubber boot that covers the wires going from your door to the body of the car.... the heavier gage wires eventually crack from the opening and closing of the need to cut the rubber and get to the wires inside and splice them back together....the first time i had this problem my windows did not work...then a few months later my interior lights would not go out....different wire this time ...easy fix....
