Gas hand doesnt work

The most common cause of the fuel level meter not working is that the fuel level meter sending unit located inside the gas tank is defective.

Check gage light on and gas hand not working what could cause this

More than likely, you are going to have to replace the fuel level sender inside the gas tank. Depending on where you get your parts from, it may come seperate from the fuel pump or it may come as a complete assembly with the fuel pump also.

Had a 1/4 tank of gas in car but low fuel light stays on, put 5 more gallons of gas in the car and light will not go off, gas hand will not move and car will not crank 2001 Chevy Malibu

check the connection for the fuel pump at the right rear wheel just above the control arm. the connection gets corroded and causes the fuel pump and gauge not to work. if the plug looks good then most likely the fuel fump assembly is bad.

My gas hand and the temperature hand has stop working and I would liketo know what caused it and how can it be fixed?

most fuel gage problems are usually a bad fuel level sensor in the fuel tank. the fuel level sensor is mounted to the side of the fuel pump assembly. this requires the fuel tank to be removed form the vehicle to replace the fuel level sensor

Gas hand stop working in my 1983 Buick Regal....

This problem is caused by a defective gas gauge sending unit (senses the level of the fuel in the gas tank), the gas gauge sending unit is located inside the gas tank, the gas tank must be removed to replace the gas gauge sending unit.

2005 Chevy Impala exhaust smell

neither one of these would cause gas to leak. sure it is not coolant ? if you think it is gas it is not safe to drive car as it could catch on fire. possible cause would be a leaking injector.

Gas hand goes up and down

Sometimes snow or slush can get in where sending switch is causing it to loosen up. This might cause it to blink off and on
at times. Check the connection at gas tank.
