if it is the fan for the heat then you need a blower motor resistor

SOURCE: how do I change the

I did a Google search "How do you replace the rear spark plugs on a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus?" and found this link:

I haven't tried it yet and am thinking of purchasing a Chilton manual just in case, but as far as explanations go the one at the very bottom of the page in the link sounds the most legitimate so far.

Besides, I have to pay you guys $9.99 for one answer that I can get for free; or I can get the Chilton and have a whole heap of answers for around $20.

SOURCE: 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. No Start, No Spark and no

Sorry I'm not sure if i already posted, My computer did a quick trip for some reason, anyways,

Does the car crank over? What happens when you turn the key and try to start the car? What sound do you hear..

If it cranks do you here the fuel pump?

If it doesn't Here are just a few things, You need to make sure the battery has a full charge and the cables/wires are clean and tight on both ends.

Check you're Fuel Pressure, Check your ASD relay under the hood. This relay powers the fuel pump and Ignition system. It is inside your power distribution center under the hood. moz-screenshot.png

SOURCE: steering is really stiff after replacing power

Is the drive belt adjusted properly. Did you bleed all air from the system after installing the pump? Start the engine and turn the steering wheel from left to right fully 10 times. This will remove any trapped air. Check the fluid level and top it off.

SOURCE: How to replace water pump

In short, to replace the water pump you need to disassemble a good deal of the passenger side of the engine. Without a lift, this is not a easy job at home. If you really want to do it yourself, I highly recommend you get a Haynes manual for the car. It's invaluable for a large job like this. Just be prepared for a long job. The shop manual for this calls for 5.5 hrs. That's a mechanic with experience, a lift, and all the right tools. One huge suggestion for you though. Replace the timing belt while you are in there. Its a cheap part, and honestly it'll fail someday. This will save you another headache's worth of labor for one little part.

Replace resistor on 1999 chrysler cirrus a/c heater blower only working on high IF I pull the switch out--still have the same problem==what's next???

According to the wiring diagram, it looks like the blower motor is grounded thru the resistor which is grounded thru the fan switch on the dash. High speed bypasses the resistor.
If you have power on the terminals coming out of the resistor, the problem could be in the fan switch.

Heater fan only works on high

more then likely its the fan resistor doing this. a fan resistor has different diodes or coils for each setting on fan motor. from low to high. it is under dash on passengers side. you have to remove cover held on by retaining clips, the resistor is mounted under the dash by 2 bolts. it has 2 wires going to it. the best place to buy one is at a local auto parts store. for the dealer will rip you off, big time. good-day !

Replaced thermostat but the car still runs hot

I would say check into your water pump and your radiator. Also, while your car is idling, make sure that your fans are coming on. If your fans aren't coming on that will be your problem. Worst case scenario you have a blown head gasket.

If the fan for the heat/air/defrost does not work at all, generally speaking is it the fan motor or the resistor? The car is a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus, can you tell me where each of those are located?

If the resistor was bad, the fan would work on high mode only. I would say it's more likely the motor then. There is a panel under the glovebox on the passenger side you must remove. There's a good size black cylinder, vertical, close to the left wall of the car. That's the motor. The resistor is to the right of that, held in by a small hex screw. I changed my resistor about a year ago, about 20 dollars at the parts store. The motor should be between 50-70 (found some at AutoZone for those prices). This is all from memory of when I did that last year.

I have a 2000 Chrysler Cirrus. When it rains,

Check Battery, all battery connections, the ground from motor to frame and from battery to motor and or body. A poor ground connection can cause all kinds of problems. Also i had a car that would not start in high humidity that turnedout to be the starter. It was pulling too much juice from the battery at high humidity.

2000 Chryler Cirrus - engine races all the time

Either the throttle body is being held open by something or the idle control valve is stuck open. Check where the throttle cable hooks to the throttle body, make sure the cable is not caught on something.
