you will need to take the two bolts out of the strut that connects to the spindle backing plate.this will let the backing plate pull out enough to pull the cv axle out.

To test the CV joints make a hard right circle and then a hard left one. You dont have to do this at a high speed and you can do it in a parking area. IF you hear clunking then it is the CV joint.

ello, ello. You just push hard till you hear the little circlip on the end of your axle shaft "click", meaning it has seated inside the transmission.
