SOURCE: air conditioner in 2000 Dodge Caravan Needs to be Replaced

Cost of repair will depend on which component of the AC system needs repair/replacement. There are several components to the system, with each component costing different amounts and each requiring different amounts of labor to repair or replace.
But, how do you know there is no refrigerant left in the system? Have you had the system charged recently and it leaked out?

Brake lights quit working...checked fuse, bulbs and relays and all are good...thinking maybe wiring but have no idea where they start and end...looking for schematics for the wiring on a 1999 dodge caravan.

I would start with the brake light switch.
You should have power in and out of the switch when it is engaged.
You can find wiring diagrams online by doing a search or by checking the auto parts stores. Some stores will let you register for free and get access to repair info.

Try topping up with brake fluid . If that dosent work. brake sensor could be damaged if stays on all the time may have a leak in brake pipe.

Your Problem is most likely your multifunction switch. This switch is on your steering column and operates the bright and dim headlights, turn signals, hazards and wipers and wash. You will have to remove the cover around the steering column to get to it and replace it. Feel free to contact me for more info if you need help doing this. I will do my best to respond right away.

Sounds like the relay is burning out. When the lights stop flashing does the indicator on the dash light up and stay on and/or does the exterior lights light up and stay on? If the indicator light is staying on then you have a wiring problem to the lights or you have the wrong bulb/ bulbs. If the exterior lights stay on it is a bad relay or power to the relay.
