SOURCE: how to audi 5000

I've had this done and did it myself more than once. The correct way, takes all day and is not easy. My bud Larry showed me a quick way, it isn't pretty but gets the job done in about an hour. Take off the pas. wiper  arm. remove the plastic cover over your climate control unit. Drivers side you need to use a snap ring pliers (90 degree works best) unplug blower, pull off washer, push the blower in with your thumb. On the other side you'll see 3 screws in a white plastic reducer up against the ccu. take them out. With an instrument of destruction Saws all, hack saw blade, hot knife, cut the black ring all the way across (end to end) curl it inside the white thing you took the screws out of. pull it up and out. This part varies, pull the blower out of the space you just made. some times it'll squese out, sometimes you need to get the IOD cut area out of ccu so blower motor will make it out unharmed. Now replace blowers brushes or put new one back in, put plastic all back the way it was adding duct tape or better to seal. Try not to use smelly stuff that never dries.. ;)

sounds like you may have a CV joint ready for replacement. Does it seem to get louder and/or click when you are turning?

Audi 5000 1985- starting problems

In order to start an engine needs a decent cranking speed, compression, timing, the right amount of fuel and a good spark at the plugs.

When an engine doesn't start, one or more of those things are missing and it is necessary to check each until the culprit is found.

If the engine has a distributor with a vacuum unit it is worth checking the vacuum unit diaphragm for punctures and if it is take a close look at the inside of the distributor cap. Sometimes they develop an invisible conductive coating.

The hall effect module can also cause some problems and the connections can also become oxidised.

If all seems ok, considering the age of the car, I suggest the fuel injectors are removed and tested and ensure the fuel pressure and volume are adequate.

NEED NEW KEY

If you go to ebay, under "audi 5000 87 ignition" you will see the full ignition block with new keys, and its only $49, and you can offer less since its best offer. You can check local junk yards, and parts stores, but you may not find the part due to the age, hope that helps

I am looking to drain the radiator 86 Audi 5000 Turbo, Which is the best way? Can I get electrical schematic free for it off the internet somewhere? Small issues. There is a resivour next to the brake...

Remove the bottom engine covers. You will see a plastic petcock on the radiator. Take that out and take the radiator cap off.

You have to use Hydaulic Mineral Oil. Call a parts dealer shops use or call your dealer. If you use any other fluid it can cause system failure.

As for wiring diagrams im not sure.
