Question about 2001 Chevrolet Venture
I drive a 2001 Chevy Venture Van, that has the worst wiper system I have ever had, and I've been driving for 30 years. As soon as the temp starts to get a little colder outside (maybe -4C, I live in Winnipeg), my wipers only touch a couple points on the windshield. I have tried many different brands of wiper blades, and they are all the same. I bugged my dealer for a long time while the van was under warranty, and was told that it would NOT be covered, and would probably be expensive if paying for it myself. We can get some pretty weird weather here in Winnipeg, and I need my wipers!! All I could think of is there maybe isn't enough pressure on the blades??? Oh, and by the way, the rear wiper blade is absolutely NO BETTER!! They all ****!! Anybody else dealt with this and come up with a solution?? I'd sure love to hear about it if you have. Thanks to all who read this, and I hope you all have a great day.
The wiper arm springs are weak, just grab a used set of arms as most ventures wipe great.People who stick their wipers straight up,usually when freezing rain is coming ,ruin their wiper arm springs and have less wiping pressure too, so have to replace their arms at some point. PEOPLE STOP LEAVING YOUR ARMS IN THE UP IN THE AIR,OFF THE GLASS POSITION.

Check if the spindles are rotating if they are the splines are worn in the wiper blade assembly. Try tietening the wipers on the splines

the pivot pin must be rusted to the point it does not want to move, try lubing it with wd40 or equivalent lube,at the bottom of the wiper arm just before the bolt that holds it to the car is the pivot point.that's where it has to be lubed.
