SOURCE: Battery Drain in 4 days

In my case, the problem turned out to be the after-market radio which is on the same circuit as the interior lights and clock. Once it was changed, the problem was solved.

Sounds as though it could be an immobiliser problem and these days on older vehicles the immobiliser is such a common cause of problems of this type it is hardly worth checking anything else.

I still advocate checking the fuses and ignition switch operation, removing and refitting the relays and giving each a tap with a screwdriver handle and having a good visual check of whatever can be accessed easily.
It isn't easy to do any more without a wiring diagram, a couple of hours to spare and some know-how. In my experience most often after all that the experts still must be called in to deal with a rogue immobiliser.

I have known some cars where the immobiliser number can be entered via the driver's door lock or the throttle pedal. I have known another older car where disconnecting the battery overnight assured a successful start the next morning and yet another where the immobiliser could be by-passed with a jumper lead from the battery direct into engine management. These days it is the main ECU that tends to be coded.

I have a versa 2011 it has a problem in some electric it is that the place in speedometer where it shows the milege there writes a message saying loose plz what does this mean

hi
try disconnecting the battery negative terminal for 20 min then carefully refit. Do not leave your keys in the car!
If this ecu reset does not work you will need to pop into your local trusted garage and have them scan the diagnostic centre built into your car and see if you have a facia fault. These can be repaired and wiill take about a week. They are usually programmed and possibly part of the cars immobiliser system so do not fit a second hand unit unless you are good at reprogramming!

Flat battery caused immobiliser problems

1-insert and remove key from ignition two times

2-close and open driver door two times

3-insert and remove key once from ign.

4-close and open drvr door twice

5-insert key into ign.,then close driver door

6-turn key to on (not start) then off, twice this is rewrite mode, have all remotes to reprogram it will clear any lost remotes.

7-remove key from ignition, the door locks should cycle twice.if not start over.it may take a few tries.

8-press lock/unlock together and hold for a second

9-release,and press lock on remote, the door locks will cycle confirming program.continue to do other remotes you have, steps 8 and 9.if only one in possession, you are done. To end mode open door or insert key into ignition.

You'll need to follow the steps with no more than a 1-2 second delay between each step.. hope it works
