Question about 2005 Buick Rendezvous
When turning the steering wheel you can hear a very loud annoying whinning....depending on the outside temp it will be better or worse
CHECK THE POWER STEERING FLUID.iF THE FLUID IS NOT LOW CHECK THE BELT. IF IT IS TIGHT THEN THE OWER SREERING PUMP IS FAILING

I would check the idler pulleys on the belt first. Then maybe the alternator. If your battery is getting a little weak it could be working the alternator hard when you first start it up. I don't know how loud it is though. The alternator wouldn't be real noticeable but some people would hear it.

There is a photocell sensor on the top of the dashboard. Is it possibly covered with a map etc.This would fool the system to thinki ts dark outside. If not,the twilight sentinel amplifier and photocell will require diagnosis. Hope this helps

SOURCE: I find that my 2006
92 octane is wise to use once a month if you drive 1500 miles or more a month. Although I would use a half a tank of 92 octane when doing so. That blend has more additives which is great for larger engines such as a large V8
