Question about Cars & Trucks
Just purchsed this used A190. Sectional upward folding sunroof would only partly open before stopping (I think due to motor overload as could hear relay click) able to then close but makes harsh clutch noise when fully closed and finger still on button - Is this normal?. Lubricated rails with lithium based grease toggled roof back and fourth .. it opening a bit more each time until operating to almost fully open. I popped off the black cover behind light assy that surrounds the manual operation hex. head and removed yellow plastic wheel and star insert. I assume this is an encoder disc that strikes reed switches inside during operation to determine sunroof position and hence open / close limits (?) .. when these parts were removed sunroof fully opened to hard stop and fully closed to clutch noise. How do I set this up for a relay stop at open and closed positions .. please? Without this I can forsee clutch wear or motor burning out prematurely.
a 6ya expert can help you resolve that issue over the phone in a minute or two.
