SOURCE: hard starting in the morning
it sounds like 1 of two things either your starter relay is gone and you need a new one ,they arnt that expensive or its your hold in winding in the starter motor this is a bit more expensive but can be changed quite easily.

This sounds like a fuel pump check valve problem, if the fuel is not kept in the filter and lines by the check valve it drains back into the fuel tank and causes the kind of problems you are having, you can check this by hooking up a fuel pressure guage at the test port on the fuel manifold that supplies fuel to the injectors, run the engine and shut it down, note the fuel pressure at shut down (with the test guage hooked up), walk away for an hour, come back and check the pressure, it should not have dropped more than 5 PSI You can buy a universal fuel injection pressure tester for about $25.00, cheaper than having a shop run the test. If the pressure drops you found the problem, bad news is the check valve is in the pump, the pump is in the gas tank.

Your alternator is drawing alot of power trying to charge the battery.Try tightening the belt. That should fix your problem..The reason the alternator is whistling so much on cold starts is because thats when it takes the most power from the battery to start the car.And the noise from the alternator is it charging it back up..So I'd try tighting the belt that will fix the smell and watch for the battery light or alternator light in the dash come on the could be your alternator failing and you dont want that to happen..I hope this helps you fix the problem.Have a great day...

The air flow meter housung probably has mosture in side it!
You Jet washed it right?
so it's forced water inside... then it evaparates inside (VAPOR CAN'T GET OUT AGAIN) goes back to mosture when cool and plays about with air meter's electronics! OPEN THE LID AND DRY IT OUT WITH HAIR DRYER!
then re-seal it wirh silicione!
you see simple!
Do you remember years ago when old distibuter caps had a small hole (vent) in them yes? same thing! if your ign system got wet, whwnn the engine got hot the vaper could escape though the vent so the problem did not return understand?
That's you sorted sir!...Have a good one....regards..Bruce
