Question about Cars & Trucks
I was driving down the interstate, when i turned the steering wheel even slightly to the right, the car would lose power (sputter and go into passing gear, but not gain speed even with the pedal floored) i would turn the steering wheel to the left and the car would take back off fine. any turn to the right will cause this issue, and i dont know what to do
You have a problem in the engine wiring harness where it goes through the firewall, check for chafed and damaged wires.

Ok you will have to have it scanned. It probably has cylinder misfire codes and random cylnder misfires. You could need spark plugs and or coils. The scan will tell you exactly which cylinder is missing. That will cure your problem and remember to change your oil and filter right before you go in for the smog test. Also if the car hasn't been serviced in a while it would be a good idea to replace the air filter and fuel filter.
