The most likely cause could be the MAP Sensor or if it has a MAF Sensor. The sensors are used by the computer to determine how much air is coming into the engine, and if they malfunction then when you step on the gas pedal and more air flows into the engine, the computer has difficulty trying to add the proper amount of fuel. Scan the computer for codes. If you don't have a scanner you can take your vehicle by one of the national discount auto parts stores and they will scan you computer for you, usually for free.
