Your Schro's are going bad in the 4WD HIGH Trans Case. This sucks i know. But i had the same problem berfore.

Unit will continue to work good in low range since the stress is less then on the HIGH range. I would never use the 4WD HIGH anyway...doesnt do much on the street...just tears up the gearing and schros.

Hope this helps,

SOURCE: stuck in 4x4 low range

Sounds like your transfer case is wound up. Put your truck in to reverse and back up and gently shift out of low on the transfer case. It will come out. Yoou transfer case is just bound up. This is common.

SOURCE: 4x4 is stuck in low range

The motor is what moves it. If you disconnect that, it will still be in low range. odds are that it is the motor, but removing it will not solve your problems. I would take it off, try to shift and then see if it moves. if not, replace it. if it does, its your transfer case.

Polo classic 1.4 tdi 2003 model doesn't want to start it possible that the desil filter needs to be replaced..after replacing the desil filter filter how do you bleed the system

i think your car has a fuel low pressure pump in the tank, to check this remove the fuel cap get someone to turn the ignition whilst you put your ear to the filler neck you should hear the pump run, if so all you need to do is switch the ignition on and off 8 or 9 times after you have changed your filter to prime the system, if it has not got a low pressure pump you may need a vacuum pump to prime the system which you connect to the return from the high pressure pump to bleed it, i am sure you will have a low pressure pump in your tank.

I have 2003 RA Holden Rodeo 3.0 ltr T/Diesel. The 2 front wheels don't seem to be engaging when i put it into 4wd (high or low range). I can hear the high and low range click in when i press the buttons...

Does yours have AUTO hubs, there are some luxory models have auto hubs, these rely on difference in drive on the axles,(wheel spin) others have manual locking hubs, these actually need to be engaged manually, these require you to twist the centre of the hub to engage and disengage the front hubs, these sometimes require you to reverse to disengage properly, Rodeo had both depending on model. Hi, I would start at the starter and try to jump the solenoid. If that works, work your way back to the ignition switch to find the problem. If the solenoid will not jump, there is a problem with the starter or the battery cables. Please see my tip at . These are genericinstructions. If you get stuck or need specific instructions for your car, please get back to me with model, year and engine info.

1984 chevy luv 4-wheel drive desil, is there a rear fuel pump somewhere, our lines go directly to the injector thru additional filters for bio desil. ran out of gas but have been having trouble with trash...

if this is a 1984 vehicle then i would assume it has a lift pump on the side of the engine driven by the camshaft and this should have a primer lever on it ? Sorry never seen one of these motors as iam on the wrong side of the pond .Also this fuel tank is metal so a certain amount of rust will be inside and also muck from the bio fuel degrading so it may pay to drop the tank and swill it out with petrol .also if need be fit a rubber pump for priming .Sorry i cannot be more specific as never seen one .biofuel ? yuck if not used for 6 mths this stuff clags everything .
