Question about Cars & Trucks
On any occasion where I drive more than about 50-60 kilometres the engine will lose turbo boost. Sometimes the boost will only come in at 2600rpm and sometimes it drives like a naturally aspirated diesel with no turbo boost. Once the engine cools down after three or four hours poweris back to normal. The dealer initially diagnosed it as a loose connection somewhere and when that was proved incorrect they diagnosed a dirty intercooler and charged me R3200 dor a intercooler flush. The problem remains. Any ideas.
I would change the coolant temp sensor if it's not too expensive at the auto parst store, or unplug it and drive around to see if the boost works normally. Be sure to clear the codes that may light up on your dashboard after either solution.
