Under the hood there is a bracket that mounts to your engine firewall which holds the filter. Not really center but it's a little to the left if you are standing in fron of your car.

SOURCE: 1991 ACURA INTEGRA WONT START,

Bring the main relay from under the left side of the dash into view and tap it with a screwdriver while your trying to start the car. If this starts the car... then you can take the cover off of it and look really close for broken solder. Re-melt the solder and it will work. Don't be surprised if you replace it with another used one and it won't work, most all of these go bad eventually... had to fix many of them.

1991 acura integra bogs down

Run some dry gas through the system along with fuel injector cleaner, after that I would recommend changing the Oxygen sensor before catalytic converter this sensor controls fuel mixture.

My 91 acura integra with a 95 gsr motor in it starts, then dies right away. I replaced the spark plugs, checked for spark through the wires, and checked to see if fuel was coming from the pump. Everything...

did you check the fuel pressur on the fuel rail with a gauge or did you just unplug the pressure reg..

also you should try replacing the fuel filter first... this is cheap 6-12 dollars autozone. just becuase the fuel pump is pumping doesnt mean it its enough. There mightbe a strainer on the fuel pump that might be plugged.
