The high pressure and low pressure hoses are different sizes at the gear box. And the low pressure /return hose is usually rubber with a clamp at the back off the pump.

SOURCE: 2000 GMC safari Power locks will not work + cant unlock back door

This could be a problem with your primary switch in the driver's door. Everything passes through that switch. Verify voltage continuity to the switch (Haynes or Chilton will give you a conclusive wiring schematic), and you must also verify that the switch itself is not faulty. Using a DMM (digital multi meter), measure the resistance (ohms) between 2 contact points, then hit the switch and verify that this number increases.

SOURCE: 1998 safari van - removal of passenger internal door panel

You'll need to remove screws that are by the door handle, arm rest, under door and side of door and then gently pull back on the panel as there will also be retaining clips attached and you don't want to break them. then you just remove the bolts to the mirror

My power door locks and rear hatch on my 2000 GMC Safari will not work. Everything else is still working. Any idea of what may be wrong?

There are two fuses associated with the door locks system. The first is the Cigarette Lighter Fuse (Fuse 13 - 20A). This fuse provides power to the switches to activate the lock/motor relays. The second fuse is the PWR ACCY Circuit Breaker (30A). This provides the power thru the relay contacts to the lock solenoids/door motor. Both of the are in the Instrument Panel (IP) Fuse block.

1998 safari rear door lock / power locks

This problem can be caused by a few things, it could be the rear door lock switch or lock module located under the dash or last the rear door actuator.

You say that all door lock and unlock on there on, this tells me it most likely has a module problem or wiring to the rear door is bad.
The first thing i would do would be to remove the rear door panels and check wiring to switches and actuator, then follow wiring from inside the rear hatch to where in goes through the body. the wiring most times breaks at that point where the wiring is bent over from opening and closing rear door ,

Locate the wiring going into door or doors. sometimes the wiring only goes into one door but then sometimes in goes into both doors, check the wiring closely . it may be covered in a rubber boot . if it is covered you will need to slide boot back to check wiring.

Good day. hope this is helpful.

Automatic door locks do not work

Check fuses.

If the fuse for this circuit is ok, and you hear an attempt for the solenoids to operate the door locks, then the solenoids (actuator) for the door lock should be replaced with a newer one that has more strength.

Also, wiring to the switch for the door lock should be checked with a test light to see if it is even getting current. Will have to disassemble the door trim and remove the switch to get at the terminals.

Can test whether the door lock actuator is getting current with a test light as well.
