Question about 2004 Scion xB

1 Answer

I drove through really deep flood waters.

The water lapped over the hood. I did not stall out and went and parked it for several hours, got back in drove it around several times. It started having problems when i went over forty and now every time I turn it on it revs up to 2000 rpm then back down continuously. It continues to jump up like this the entire time i drive no matter the speed.

You need to have the dealer test the electronic engine control for fault codes, you may have damaged or shorted a component.

Went thru a flooded road about 8"deep stalled out

You filled the cylinders with water. You will need to remove all the spark plugs and crank the engine with them out, to push out the water. you will also want to replace the air filter as it is probably saturated with water.
