SOURCE: 1995 audi a6 fuel pump problem

Sounds like a faulty fuel pump relay. The relay is located behind the fuse box at the end of the dash. remove relays one at a time until pump stops. Replace with new and see if that cures it.

Fuses are located by the side of the dash board when you open the driver's door. The fuel pump fuse is situated in there.

SOURCE: how to remove audi a6 wiper blades

The problem with this wiper blade set up is the slides get jammed up w/ crude.  You should lubricate the slides and they should slide off.  Then carfully lift the arm and remove the blade.  Warning you should never leave the arm in the upright position.  Windshields get cracked this way.  Also note the pivit points the blades attach too.  These will normally sieze up and cause clearing issues even with new blades.  Lubricate these pivit points and use a pair of channel locks to move it back and forth until it will go 360 degrees with your fingers.  Install is in reverse order of removal.

Audi a6 with 2.4 engine

Can be alot of causes. Most common:

Egr clap closed - doesn t allow air intake - car also blows black smoke while cranking.

Fuel intake
- low pressure fuel pump - located inside the fuel tank - may be burnt
- high pressure fuel pump - engine bay - also may be burnt
- not enough fuel inside the tank
- fuel leaks before reaching injectors

etc

2004 audi a6 won't start. never had this problem before. cranks but won't ignite

First check the fuse area for a blown fuel pump fuse or a fuel pump relay gone bad. Put some fuel in the carb area/air intake and try to start. If it starts momentarily it should be a fuel problem. If there is no momentary start, you are not getting spark. to the plugs. Think I would go with the fuel idea first.

2001 Audi A6 2.7T...Ran it out of gas. Now wont start. At first could hear fuel pump run for couple seconds with key in on position. Now fuel pump will only run when cranking. With key in on position...

It's very likely that you burnt out the fuel pump. The fuel pump needs gas running through it to keep it cool. If there was no gas and it's pumping air they tend to burn out very easily.

Change fuel filter on a 01 a6 and car wont start

Loosen the line on the filter going to the engine. It maybe has an air lock in the line. Cracking it open will releive the air & then the gas will flow out.

Code 16795

http://wiki.ross-tech.com/index.php/16795/P0411/001041
Check this site for any Audi codes. This is a problem with the air that it injected into the exhaust system to help burn any uncombusted fuel. Check the air pump located in front of the pass front wheel on the bottom of the engine. It is pretty easy to find. The air pump has a suction hose that goes to the air filter housing so that it has filtered (clean) air, follow the hose
