Re: clacking noise under middle of car after car has been...
Hi this cracking noise could be something as simple as the heat shield/guard between the exhaust pipe and underbody ? it could be contracting /expanding due to heat from exhaust ? especially if stopped after high speed /long journey ? however just to put mind at ease may i suggest you pop to local w/shop and ask if they could check shield for security ? would not think they would charge just to look ? if they are not busy ? but ask in case?

most hyundais are a 16 pin conector located under the steering wheel somewhere (fuse box, under dash, behind panel right hand side of steering wheel) or in the centre under the handbrake or just behind park brake under a cover.
Remove the linkage from the wiper motor. Turn the wipers on then off. This will set the motor in the park position. Move the wipers by hand to there normal off position. Reinstall the linkage onto the wiper motor. The wipers should now park or stop in the correct position.
has it been driven too many kilometers ?
This should not happen at this age (2006) if not driven too much. If it is under manufacturers warranty then dont wait and take it to the service center as this could happen due to the oil burn within the engine. Atleast not at idle.
