I need a code or whatever to get my radio on after repairs

Hello, Dixie -

The resetting code for your car radio should be with the owner's manual and other documentation that came with your car. The instructions for resetting the radio will be in the owner's manual.

If you don't happen to have that, then, you will need to contact an automobile dealership which sells your make of car.

When you find the code or obtain one from a dealership, I suggest you do what I have done: write the code inside your owner's manual on the page with the instructions for resetting the radio, so you will be able to reset the radio again, whenever needed. Note: When the car battery is replaced will be another time you will have to reset the radio.

Reset radio

remove the radio unit, and strip it down to the electronics.
there will be a few capacitors in there...using a jumper that is thinner than the solder points, short out each capacitor you see. (from positive to negative)

this resets some old TV systems and Radios memories.

hope it helps

Cd in car stereo won't eject. I have a 2005 Chrysler T&C van and there is a CD in my stero that won't eject. Any suggestions?

Try turning the radio off and disconnecting the battery for 2 min then reconnect the battery and turn on the radio. This may reset the radio to default so you can eject the CD and reset your station preset and clock. make sure the radio is off before disconnecting the battery or your going to be prompt to program a radio code. Good luck and this should work.

Check to see if your mute button is on. You may have to reset the radio, turn the radio off and disconnect the battery. This should reset the radio and you should not have to re enter the code, just make sure you have the radio off before you disconnect the battery. Good luck and keep me posted, be glad to help.

Radio and Cd player shut down

I would suggest contacting the previous owner. In my civic, I was given a small card with the reset code on it. Otherwise I suggest going to a local dealer with a copy of your title and a receipt for the purchase. I am sure they had a master code and will be able to reset the code for you. Good luck!!!
