SOURCE: air bag warning light staying on checked fuzes under bonnet ok

In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury or death.

Under the front seats you have wires going to your seat belt anchors. These wires are atached to a sensor witch activate the air bags if the anchors have force pull on them. The wires have plugs under the seat.Disconnect the plugs and spray with electical cleaner and replace.Make sure the ignition is switched off befor you attemt doing.90%of the time this will work.good luck.

How to disconnect micra airbag

did you disconnect the battery MINUS lug first , wait for 1/2hr.
if not , you are in great danger,
DO NOT MESS BAGS unless you read the warnings on bags in the FSM. Air bags do kill mechanics, and way more DIY , neophytes.

now the connector.
all connectors on all cars are locked. (so they dont fall off. cars shake)
and some you press a lever, , others pull the lever.
and on newer cars, jeeps , is one example , it has a 2 step lock
a red lock that unlocks the lever. (paranoid and lawsuits, caused)
for new DIY car fixers this is hard. (humm, push or pull..???)
and some car makers if you break that connector they dont sell it
you must buy a $500 harness.
so what to do, well, try reading the 1st 3 page of the elecric page
in the FSM, , buy one and read it, it covers, Connector locks every which way but Sunday.
Good luck, unlocking them.

on my cars at home they all have 3 kinds of locking connectors
no 2 work the same.
Bags.
Oxysensors
and the others.

You need to disconnect the negative side of the battery. Remove the air bag by disconnecting it from the harness. Usually yellow in color. Bear in mind, once you connect the battery. The airbag warning light will always be on even when you're driving.

My P Reg Nissan Micra wont start. It was working

Sounds like a fuel issue if you have run it dry, maybe a blocked fuel filter, or maybe it needs new spark plugs, check the air filter as well.
