In most cases this problem is caused by the rotating ribbon circuit contact under the steering wheel having a broken filament, the part is known as a clock spring contact, u will need to properly disarm the airbag and remove the steering wheel to access the part. WARNING: Failure to follow factory Airbag disarming protocol can result in an unexpected Airbag deployment and possible serious personnel injury or death.

My airbag warning indicator turns ON. What could be the problem and how do i fix it?

Welcome to Fixya.com. If your warning light is on it is indicating a problem within the system. Disconnect battery for 10 mins to let all the residual power out of system. If , after you reconnect battery, light stays on you will need to take car to some one who has the right tools to work on it. Tools as in computer that can hook up to the air bag system and communicate with the air bag computer. Regards, Lee Davidian

Air bag fault

In my opinion there might be a problem of wiring after changing the indicator console as there is connection problem of air bag in steering wheel. If there is a loose connection for any air bag the light goes on. You have to recheck the wiring and any loose connection for your air bag of steering wheel. But be sure to disconnect the battery terminals before you try to find out any fault in this area.

How do you change the air bag warning light and where is the fuse (position number) on a 2001 peugeot 307 style 16v?

to change airbag, ul need 2 flat head screw drivers , first disconnect the battery then at side of steering wheel there is two holes. push in screw drivers till it touches steel pin, apply small pressure with one hand and pull one side of airbag and it should pull out, repeat on other side.

Srs warning light is staying on

Supplemental restraint system warnig light should be checked by dealer to make sure that it is not just a reset problem.Ask the dealer if disconnecting the battery could have caused this. People who install stereos usually don't have factory training on air bags When the srs light is on the air bag system is non functioning. Please have it checked.

Air bag light

Sounds to me to be a faulty clockspring, have your dealer read the code, they can also estimate the job for you, also, a ten minute battery disconnect usually clears all codes. Disconnect the negitive cable whenever doing any electrical work.
