SOURCE: removing the cabin air filter

Open the glove box and empty the contents. gently push the glove box to the left and slide the stop toward you. Now slide the box to the right to get the left stop unhooked. Letting the glove box hang, look at the long thin plate on the fan shroud and undo the two screws holding it in. Now you can slide the cabin filter tray out of the fan shroud and replace the paper element. If you look at the fan shroud and see the rectangular slot but there are no screws in it , the cabin air filter has not been installed in your model. The rectangle can be cut out with an Exacto knife and the cabin air filter can be installed in the slot. You can purchase the cabin air filter tray, cabin air filter, and mounting screws at the Misubishi dealer. I purchased one out of an Eclipse at a salvage yard for $5 , washed it, and installed a new $10 dollar aftermarket paper element. I no longer have dust on my dash and it only cost $15.

Why is my 1998 vrg gdi lose power on aircon is running...if i go up the hill or take off can fill like is struggling to go...as soon as i off the aircon the engine gain power again you can really fee

have an ac specialist check the gas pressures and the compressor as it is drawing too much power from the engine or too much power from the ignition circuit
I would suggest a compression test in the engine as well to get the engine condition. Most ac compressors take about 5hp to drive and if the engine is a bit sad then that is too much power overall.

Car not starting

pressure guage should stay after you turn-off the ignition switch. check also if your engine has a cold start injector. it may be restricted.

Galant vrg gdi 4g94

That is pretty much normal. When the AC engages it's compressor it triggers the idle sensor to increase idle to compensate for the huge load that an AC unit puts on a vehicle. If your AC is producing cold air, approx. 40 degrees on high, then it should be ok. Power loss is all part of the program with AC. It takes much more noticeable power to run an AC unit on a vehicle, and especially a 4 cylinder. Ever see your house lights dim a bit when you turn on the Home AC central air? :.) Every item under your hood connected to your engine steals power from the engine. The AC is the king of all takers of power.

Galant vrg-gdi-when i engage reverse the car stalls--but once you start moving --ok

You vehicle uses a Idle air control motor,(IAC) when you put a load on the vehicle (Drive or reverse) the ECM detects the load and idles up the IAC, even for the A/C (air conditioner) You can try a throttle body cleaning. or a new IAC

Where is the door pin trigger wire of Mitsubishi Galant VRG 1996

the door trigger wire is inside the chassis. it goes to the fuse box underneath the dash, where you can tap your alarm. it is usually the fuse for the dome/door light.
