Question about 2005 Chevrolet Monte Carlo
Check the wiring harness had the same problem on my truck the lights are wired together and if the wires are coroated they wont make the connection

Day time running lights run low voltage to the high beam bulbs so it sounds to me like you need two new bulbs or you need to check the fuses and see if any need replaceing.

Just replace the flasher. you can find it under the dash on the drivers side... Just turn the key on and turn the signal light to one side or the other and follow the clicking noise.
