I need a diagram on how to hook the hoses back up for a dual fuel slector valve for a 1979 ford f-250

This is a way you will be able to work out the connections for yourself....
  • The valve will have three connections....
  • If it's still mounted to the vehicle, take two flexible hoses which can fit, and attach one to one of the connections....
  • The other should be connected to one of the two remaining connections.
  • Holding the end of the second next to your cheek, blow through the first.
  • Feel if there is an output....If not, try the other connection.
  • Once you can feel your breath when you blow, change the connections and turn the valve to the opposite direction....Pull off the pipe from the first connection and place it on the second.
  • Blow again and find the single connection which connects both of the other pipes....
  • The common will be the feed or delivery to the engine fuel system while the other two will be the tank connections.....
  • If the change over has a solenoid operation, it will have one single power cable which will be positive and it will also have a ground cable....Test which is which with a test meter....
Hope this is helpful?
