I have a 92 nissan stanza ex. Need to know the location of the diagnosis control unit is.

Oh boy, you are in for a learning curve. I spent the better part of a year getting to know the Nissan system of computer controls, diagnostic procedures, everything about Sentras from the mid eighties to the mid nineties. Your Stanza is very similar, fortunate for you to have a '92 with somewhat more sophisticated controls than my primitive '87 model. I even had to deal with a computer controlled carburetor-more headaches than I care to recall.

First, Jack, you have to find the computer, which is the diagnostic unit and the little LED light or lights on it are the blinkers that blink out the trouble codes. The computer on mine is under the passenger front seat. If not there, it will be behind the glove box or in the center console. So you locate it and set it in mode 4- for code read outs. That is the diagnostic mode. There are 5 modes, you can read the short paragraph about it in the link I will give. It's really easy, there are only 16 codes in all. Here is the link with all details and short description of codes.

Did you have it scanned for codes? If codes come up follow the diagnostic sequence. Cam or crank sensor may cause this, but I would get it scanned!

Yellow light on dash, emissions workshop warning

Volkswagen vehicles built after 1996 are equippedwith a system of sensors known as On Board Diagnostics (OBD II). These sensorsmonitor many vital engine functions and help to lower harmful emissions. Whenone of these sensors fails it sends a signal to the engine computer to illuminate the "CheckEngine" light in the dash. To clear this light you will need a diagnosticcode scanner. Scanners range in price from $40 to $120 and are available atmost auto parts stores.

1. Connect the diagnostic code scanner to the vehicle's diagnostic port. Theport will be located in the dash below the heater controls.. 2. Turn the key to the"Run" position, but do not start the engine. 3. Press the button on thescanner that reads "Scan for trouble codes." 4. Wait for the scanner to finishscanning the engine's computer. 5. Press the button on thescanner labeled "Clear all trouble codes." 6. Disconnect the diagnostic codescanner from the vehicle. Where can I find a connector for the diagnosis an my Honda Accord VI-1996-1998,2.0 TDi,20T2N

Your vehicle should be equipped with OBDII diagnostic computer. If you check in teh area of the passenger side fender or under the dashboard on the drivers side you should find the diagnostic port. If this fail then you can refer to your owners manual for the location of the port.
