It is very normal. Back up 10 ft when engaging in 2 wheel drive. Only engage in 4x4 when you are on soft surfaces where the wheels can slip some. Do these two things and it will not pop.

SOURCE: four wheel drive not engaging

You can check the vacuum lines and diaphram that are located underneath the battery shelf. Comes out really easy. Check that the lines are not broken. There is a vacuum line that runs to a solenoid in the center of the fire wall, make sure they are not broken there, and there is an actuator cable that runs to the transfer case. Sometimes it is as easy as replacing the vacuum hose, the actuator cable, or the diaphram under the battery shelf went bad. If you ever had a battery leak acid because it went bad.....that acid goes under the shelf and eats those lines. Hope this helps.

Why after I took my four wheel drive out the front wobbles? sometime and over 55 mph its making a loud humming sound?

For the wobbling. Can you feel the wobbling in the steering wheel? If so. 1 Check tires for knots or steel breaks, 2 bent rims. 3 Check lug nuts, Also check oil-grease in front end. Humming could very well be dry front end or bearing.

Front end noise

Assuming that you have already ruled out the brakes, severely worn engine mounts can transmit vibration and noises from the engine which are not normally heard. You don't say in what I see but is the vehicle two or four wheel drive. Since you mention CV half shafts I have to assume it is at least front wheel drive. If the vehicle is four wheel drive then there is a front differential with bearings in it that may be at fault. Have you done both sides when you say "hub assembly". Defective hub bearings will make grinding noises which will change tone or intensity when turning, accelerating or braking however the noise is usually fairly constant unless they are only just starting to fail. CV joints don't normally "grind" unless they are really bad. They usually make progressively worse "clicking" sounds or "clunking" sounds especially when turning hard, changing gears or direction of travel (forward to reverse and back again). Do you have non-stock tires/wheels? Larger/wider than factory spec tire sizes can rub the fender wells when the car is moving or turning. Another thing it could possibly be is the air dam below the front bumper. If it is loose it will push down in the airstream while the car is moving and rub on the ground.

2004 ford expedition is popping and grinding in the front end at times with the four wheel drive light flashing

When you reach the point you have, the best thing to do is shut it off and tow it in. You have had 3 sequences to show a problem. The first two, a Code light and leaking should have gotten your attention. The noise is a sign that something is very dry and has enough wear to pop and make noise.

Sounds like you are close to something important falling off your vehicle and may even affect whether it can be steered or move.

The presence of a 4 wheel drive light means that the problem can be larger than a simple wheel bearing or balljoint. Sorry to have to report this to you.

Popping noise under kawasaki mule 2012 4x4 when running in 4 wheel drive

It sounds like your front end might have something loose that causes it to move around from the added torque of the 4X4. If its under warranty, take it to the dealer and have it looked at.

3010 mule with bad 4 wheel drive. Unit seems to "slip" out of 4 wheel drive with some grinding noises.

I don't know what you mean3010 mule is this a chevy . If so look at the acuator cable and the actuator it self and the front carrier switch as well as the shifting mechizium switches for the 4 wheel engage system adjustment and vacuum positvve pressure to the transfer case and transmission
