Some vehicles you can disconnect the battery for 10-20 mins and it usually resets a check engine light. But the airbag light is different. This means there is something wrong with the airbag system and it will not go out until maintenance.

You should take the vehicle to a certified dealer immediately; Your airbag could deploy prematurely causing serious injury or death!

Safety Belt pre-tensioner Status (Driver pre-tensioner Circuit Fault).
On the seat belt buckle there is a pre-tensioner that when vehicle is involved in an accident it will deploy and pull the belt tighter.
If the vehicle has never been involved in an accident it could be what we call terminal fretting which is just a build up on the terminals which cause a open circuit. Usually just unplugging and reconnecting the connector a couple of times will fix this.
If this doesn't correct it I would recommend having your local dealer look at it.

You would have to replace the monitor. If you get one from a salvage yard MAKE sure it is the same one, that the engineering numbers match on the module. They all look alike and will plug in but if you install the wrong one it will deploy the air bags.Been there done that got a t-shirt.
Now what concerns me is how the code 51 got set. The thermal fuse is controlled by the microprocessor inside the air bag diagnostic monitor. The microprocessor inside the air bag diagnostic monitor will open the thermal fuse whenever a short on the deployment circuits occurs. The thermal fuse does not open because of excessive current flowing through it. You stated you have not had a deployment so could you have maybe hooked battery up backwards or installed jumper cables backwards when trying to jump start it? If you do not find what caused the short it will do the same thing again.

Common fault on FORD
Usually due to a poor connection in the YELLOW PLASTIC CONNECTOR underneath the passenger seat.
Just push it together properly and it should clear the AirBag fault
