Question about 1986 Nissan Pickup 4WD 1986
I have been having an intermittent problem with the fuel pump in my '86 Nissan Navara 4WD. Ocassionally the car will start and then die once all the fuel in the carby is consumed (can see through the sight glass on the front of the carby). The fuel filter has been changed and it seems that fuel passes through the filter ok. I think there is an intermittent problem with the fuel pump. There does not appear to be a mechanical pump so I am assuming it is an electrical pump located in or near the tank?? Do any of you guys know? I can't hear anything when I turn on the ignition. If you could point me in the direction of the fuel pump or other known possible causes of the problem, it would be much appreciated.
Well its located on the frame on passenger side right past the door, under the gas cap its in a bracket.question is it the z24 motor 4 cyc. with 8 plugs?

SOURCE: 1997 nissan sentra keeps dying
Check distributor and fuel, when car dies check for what is missing when it won't start back up. It can be only gas or spark and trust me one is missing. Good Luck

SOURCE: Nissan 300ZX Fuel problem
I had an 82 280zx and now a 90 300zx, in both cars the fuel pump relays were located in the engine compartment, in the fuse boxes, as long as you can read the covers over the fuses, they are clearly marked.
2nd no fuel at filter would either be faulty pump or relay. All that the regulator does is regulate the pressure to the injectors and keep them consistant.
