There are couplings that hook the manifold to the exhaust.... flex pipes.. about the size of large can of soup... they allow the engine to flex when you punch the gas.... they meet on both sides right underneath the bottom of the engine.... Google "audi a6 flex pipe" you' ll see them on ebay..... its the braided part... Go anywhere but MIDAS! to have it fixed... about $225 per side... That's what my problem was...... good luck

SOURCE: im having problems with my audi a6 turbo Quattro,

If its blue smoke then your valve stem seals are worn and that is allowing oil to enter the cylinders and burning with the gas.

SOURCE: The battery on my 2003 Audi A6 keeps dying. I

Sound's like a bad alternator, you can check the alternator by measuring the voltage on the battery when the car is started, it should measure above 12.6 volt's but not higher than 14.5 volt's, check the drive belt tension, a lose or wore drive-belt could cause problem's with the alternator charging the batery, check the battery terminal's for corrosion, along with the connection's of the battery cable's.
Hope this help's, good luck.

SOURCE: My Audi A6 18t is misfiring and smoking

did the turbo blow. What I mean when you where driving did the car take of with out adding more throttle. The 1.8t have turbo and coil problems. if you think it's a coil replace all 4. I don't know where you live and if they have done a recall on them there. But I know in Canada they have recalled the coils

You have coolant burning. Your 2.7T is a hot-running engine and the plastic tank sits above the left side exhaust manifold. The heat from the manifold is known to cook the tank and make it brittle enough to crack and leak. I think if you look at the tank you'll see it's leaking slightly on the manifold, causing the coolant smoke you're seeing. You can get a new tank from www.GermanAutoParts.com in Albany NY - great place to deal with (I always order parts for jobs from them) and replacement is simple.

Could be oil on exhaust or turbo. If an exhaust gasket then could be that, they smoke for a bit for a couple of hours use after fitment.

Audi engine oil leak?

Sounds like a leaking valve cover gasket. The parts are around $50 to do both cylinder heads from www.ecstuning.com. It's not a major issue, but it may be a sore point to a potential buyer.
