My ford fusion has ABS but does not h as 've traction control. Can I have an expert add traction control?

ABS is a braking system that pulses your brakes on and off for you automatically. Traction control is controlled by your engine's computer. When your drive wheel begins to spin due to loss of traction, the "traction control", if turned on, prevents your drive wheel from spinning too fast, which could cause you to lose control. Anyway, to answer your question, to my knowledge there is no easy way to add this accessory to your car.

TRAF DASHBOARD LGHT STAYS ON

If someone didn't turn Traction Control off by means of a button, it is telling you Traction Control is OFF or malfunctioning. Instrument panels lights are supposed to illuminate as a lamp test for a couple of seconds each time you start the engine. If the Traction Control is not operational you should have it checked by a dealer, they are familiar with your car and have likely seen this before. Traction Control is an important safety feature that needs to work properly to help you avoid loss of control while driving in slippery road conditions.

What does traction off means

Traction control helps by controlling the engine power to the drive wheels to prevent wheel spin. When traction control is OFF then you can apply all power to the drive wheels and it could cause loss of control and or wheel spin.

98 mazda millenia traction control keeps turning on and the engine cuts off randomly

The traction control system senses wheel spin from either drive wheel. Excessive spin sensed by the ABS sensor will force the wheel that is spinning to brake to avoid loss of traction. You could have a faulty ABS sensor (wheel speed sensor) As far as the engine "cutting off" Do you mean that it shuts off completely or you cannot accelerate?

What does it mean when you turn on the car and the master warning comes up with the triangle with the exclaimation point on the third picture of the car?

Sorry, other expert winner the chat about your problem. This light shows operational status of traction control system. If it is constantly lit when engine is running, this means that traction control system is off. If the light flashes during driving, it means the loss of traction at the wheels, and traction control system is operating- decreasing engine torque to stop exessive wheelspin.
Hope this help.

While Driving on the Highway my Power went out

sounds like a bad cataylic convertor.after warm up it will cause loss of power while accelerating and will affect the trans output which will trick the traction control output. take it to a real ASE shop not one that uses the sticker in the window type of deals. there should be updated certificates hanging on the wall. have that shop do a hot exhaust back pressure test for the clogged cat.

traction control helps you keep better traction on wet roads and helps you maintain control of the car. no you dont have to have certain tires on the car for the traction control to work. it helps you drive better on wet roads and on snow etc.its built into alot of vehichles these days .
