I have a 2002 Mercedes E320 with 105k miles. Yesterday, it cut off on me while at the lights. Started back up after alot of tries. I proceeded to my destination, When I was ready to leave, the car would not start. The battery power was good, it turns over but would not start. After alot of tries, someone advised that I leave it for sometime before trying again. I then left it for 39mins and when I came back, it started. I went back home without incidents. Today, I took it to the staore and when it was time to leave, it didnt start again but was turning over. After a few tries, it started. Please what do you think the problem is?
I had the same prob in my del soul it's running a k22 twin turbo chipped and everything dump tuned specs hahaha lol but guess what it's just a o 2 sensor you just need new o2 sensors your car just doesn't know what it's doing you need your CPU re scripted or flashed
I have a 2001 E320 which just stopped running at a very low speed on several occasions. On the last occasion it would not start again for 20 minutes. Just as I was about to call a tow truck it started just fine. I took it to the shop (not the MB dealer) and he suggested it may be the flywheel idle speed sensor that was bad. He replaced it and i have not had further problems. Not exactly same as your problem but some similarities.
Could be your starter failing but that would not explain the shut off..could be a sensor within the engine i would have the alternator tested too..
